Job summary

FMOL Health in Jackson, MS seeks a registered nurse to coordinate and deliver patient care within the health care team philosophy practice model, and to participate in patient teaching and discharge planning.

Responsibilities

• Provides the best possible nursing care by planning, organizing, and directing the nursing functions of patients on the unit.
• Employee must demonstrate ability to recognize patients' individual needs based on medical conditions, age adolescents, young adults, middle-aged and geriatric), limitations and planned procedures. Requires good judgment in delivering patient care; good oral and written communication skills; ability to function in stressful situations; current review in CPR. Advanced resuscitation as per area's requirement preferred. Classified as a specialty skills area. Must be willing to rotate shifts, days off and work area; may occasionally be required to work overtime.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of an accredited program in nursing.
• Experience: 2 years of clinical nursing experience

Licensure/Certification

• Current Registered Nurse license to practice in the state.
• BLS Certification required
• ACLS Certification required in ED and ICU areas
