Job summary

Devereux Pennsylvania Children's Services in West Chester, PA, seeks a Full Time Evening Shift RN for its adolescent program. You will provide direct nursing care in a Psychiatric Residential Treatment Program for both girls and boys, delivering crisis prevention and behavioral health interventions.

The role requires a BSN or RN license in PA, with 1 year of related experience preferred, strong organization, communication skills, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an approved school of professional nursing with a B.S.N., Diploma or A.D.
  • Currently licensed to practice professional nursing in Pennsylvania.
  • One year of post-education nursing experience preferred.
  • Experience with individuals with cognitive/behavioral challenges or medically complex conditions recommended.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office; data collection/analysis experience.
  • Strong organizational skills; excellent communication skills.
  • Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide nursing care in the Psychiatric Residential Treatment Program for adolescents at the West Chester location.
  • Work 2pm–12am shift; every 3rd weekend.
  • Participate in crisis prevention/intervention, trauma‑informed care, CPR/first aid training, and cultural competencies.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to support treatment goals.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and data in applicable systems.

We're seeking a FT Registered Nurse (RN) to work in our Psychiatric Residential Treatment Program (PRTF) for adolescent females and males at our West Chester, PA location. Our programs provide clinical treatment, educational instruction and behavioral intervention services to children and adolescentswith autism spectrum disorders, intellectual and developmental disabilities, behavioral, emotional and psychiatric challenges and disorders.

You will be offered:

  • Schedule: 2pm-12am; Every 3rd weekend
  • Pay: $40 - $45.60 / hour
    • 2nd Shift Diff= $2.50 [3pm-11pm]
    • 3rd Shift Diff= $5.00 [11pm-12am]

Devereux Pennsylvania Children's Services (DPACS)serves children, adolescents and young adults with autism spectrum disorders, intellectual and developmental disabilities, behavioral, emotional and psychiatric challenges and disorders. Located in West Chester and Malvern Pennsylvania, services provided include psychiatric residential treatment (PRTF), acute inpatient psychiatric hospital (AIP), assessment services, community-based mental health services, community-based employment training and social skills training, and approved private school educational services to male and female children and adolescents (6-21 years of age) with diagnoses of intellectual disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, concomitant psychiatric and behavioral challenges often associated with experiencing some level of trauma in their lives. A primary focus throughout the program is the philosophy of Program-Wide Positive Behavior Intervention and Support (PW-PBIS), a program-wide system of care that promotes and rewards positive behaviors, and prevents negative behaviors, to create safe, supportive living environments. Each year, more than 1,000 children and adolescents receive specialized care, in the environment best suited to the unique challenges they face, all with the goal of providing each child with the academic, social, emotional and life skills needed to flourish in their home community.

Qualifications

EDUCATION:Graduate of an approved school of professional nursing with a B.S.N., Diploma or A.D. Currently licensed to practice professional nursing in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

EXPERIENCE: One year of post-education nursing experience preferred. Candidates should have experience with individuals with cognitive and/or behavioral challenges or medically complex conditions. Proficient computer skills, mastery of Microsoft Office Applications, experience with data collection/analyzing platforms (Radar, Pro-Filer, and/or other internal and external software applications pertinent to the position). Strong organizational skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Requires ability to work independently, prioritize, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and adhere to established guidelines.

Valid driver's license must be maintained.
