Job summary

Amberwell Atchison seeks an Emergency Department Registered Nurse to deliver high-quality patient care in a fast-paced setting. You will triage, assess, and prioritize patient needs, work closely with physicians and advanced practice providers, and ensure accurate documentation throughout the patient’s stay.

Responsibilities include administering medications, performing diagnostics, and providing discharge education.

Qualifications

• Experience in healthcare settings with strong communication skills.
• Education includes ADN (required) or BSN (preferred).
• Licensed RN in Kansas or compact license.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS within specified timelines.

Responsibilities

• Triage patients quickly and accurately and prioritize needs.
• Collaborate with doctors and AP providers to deliver care.
• Communicate effectively with the care team and departments.
• Provide evidenced-based nursing care across all ages.
• Administer medications as ordered and monitor responses.
• Document accurately and timely in patient records.
• Provide discharge and follow-up education to patients.
