Job summary

Owensboro Health Regional Hospital, Endoscopy department, is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse (0.5 FTE) to join the team on a schedule covering 0600-1630. The role provides direct nursing care and requires an associate degree or higher in nursing with Kentucky RN licensure on hire and BSN within five years.

BLS and ACLS/ALS are required within specified timeframes. Responsibilities include coordinating multidisciplinary care, implementing care plans, and educating patients and families.

Qualifications

• RN – Licensed as a Registered Nurse; Kentucky license required upon hire.
• BLS certification required within 45 days of employment.
• ACLS or ALS certification required within 12 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct nursing care according to policies and procedures.

• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition.
• Coordinates care across disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Notes and executes physician and nursing orders.
• Assesses discharge planning needs with patient/family and healthcare team.

• Performs duties in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act.

Job Summary:

Provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols of the healthcare organization.

Job Responsibilities:

• Performs functions related to problem definition, data collection, interpretation and analysis,
• Implements and monitors patient care plans.
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate.
• Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders.
• Assesses and coordinates patient’s discharge planning needs with patient/family and members of the healthcare team.
• Assesses learning needs of patient and family and provides education based on age, culture, and willingness to learn.
• Performs job duties in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act.

• ACLS - Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support Healthcare Provider through American Heart Association (AHA) or ALS - Advanced Life Support Healthcare Provider through American Red Cross (ARC) required within 12 months of employment in this position
