Job summary

Arnot Health is seeking an Endoscopy Registered Nurse to provide specialized patient-centered care during endoscopic procedures. You will assess needs, monitor patients, educate families, and document care with strong clinical judgment.

Onsite at Arnot Health with travel between St. Joseph and Arnot Hospital, shifts 6:30am–7:30pm, ten or twelve hours. Competitive pay and benefits available; NYS RN license and BLS required.

Qualifications

• Registered professional nurse with NYS license or eligibility.
• BLS required or obtained within 90 days of hire.
• BSN preferred.
• Endoscopy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and develop person-centered care plans for endoscopy.
• Demonstrate strong communication with health care team and patients.
• Provide patient and family education and ensure accurate documentation.
• Stay current with department policies and procedures.

The RN collaborates with the healthcare team, delivers patient and family education, and ensures safe, effective care through strong clinical judgment, technical expertise, and accurate documentation.Roles and Responsibilities:Assess patients with a variety of needs. Use a person-centered care approach in the development of care, and effectively prioritize patient needs that are both expected and unanticipated.Demonstrate strong communication skills to interact with other health care professional and patients.Demonstrate competence and resourcefulness in the implementation of the technical skills required to care for the patient. Demonstrates initiative in remaining current in the organization and department policies, procedures, and standards.Evaluates effectiveness of care giving, shows follow through on delivery, demonstrates critical thinking skills by making appropriate clinical decisions, proactively addresses actual and potential problems, and executing compliant clinical documentation.Assist with educating patients and families and serves as a resource on department standards for patient care.Required Skills and Experience:Registered professional nurse with current NYS license or eligible to obtain.Basic Life Support (BLS) Required or obtained within 90 days of hirePreferred Skills and Experience:BSN preferredOne year of Endoscopy experiencePhysical Requirements:Appreciable physical effort required; lifting, pulling, pushing, and moving patients of various size, capabilities and abilities.
