Job summary

CoxHealth in Springfield, MO, seeks an experienced Registered Nurse with endoscopy expertise to support procedural care and patient safety. You will maintain endoscopes and equipment, assist during endoscopic and non-endoscopic procedures, and apply knowledge of physiology and pharmacodynamics of moderate sedation.

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program or NLN approved program.
• BSN strongly preferred.
• RN license active in Missouri.
• BLS within 90 days and ACLS within 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Perform endoscopy procedures and assist during them.
• Maintain endoscopes and specialized equipment used in procedures.
• Demonstrate knowledge of physiology and pharmacodynamics related to moderate sedation.

Job Description: The registered nurse with expertise in endoscopy procedures demonstrates an understanding in physiology and pathophysiology of endoscopy procedures and pharmacodynamics of moderate sedation anesthesia and analgesia. The registered nurse participates in the maintenance of endoscopes and other specialized equipment used in endoscopic and non-endoscopic procedures and provides technical assistance during such procedures.

Education

• Required: Graduate of an accredited nursing program or NLN approved program
• Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
