Job summary

Crouse Health’s Endoscopy team seeks a part-time Registered Nurse to assist anesthesia with deep sedation and fluoroscopy cases, ensuring safe patient care. The role includes weekend, holiday, on-call rotation and on-site coverage in Syracuse, NY.

The RN will provide education, monitor responses to treatment, and engage in evidence-based practice within a professional nursing model. Licensure in NYS is required, with ongoing certifications as needed.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited nursing degree program.
• Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing preferred.
• Certification in a specialty area.
• Currently licensed as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State.
• Two years Critical Care experience or related Endoscopy/Cardiac/ICU/PACU experience.
• BLS certification required.
• ACLS within three months.
• PALS within six months.

Responsibilities

• Provides professional judgment and knowledge of Nursing Practice Model.
• Carries out duties per the RN Scope of Practice with emphasis on safe care.
• Responsible for all activities requiring assessment, planning, diagnosing, evaluating, judgment, problem-solving, creating and implementing the plan of care.
• Provides education to patients and families to promote health, facilitate rehabilitation and maintain wellness.
• Monitors and evaluates patient responses to treatment/plan of care during hospital stay.
• Utilizes evidence-based practice to deliver quality patient care.
• Demonstrates critical thinking in clinical problem solving situations.

The Crouse Health Endoscopy team is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) to assist the Anesthesia provider in the provision of deep sedation and administer moderate sedation, and maintaining presence in fluoroscopy cases.

Pay Range:

$39.78 - $51.50 an hour based on experience

Available Schedule(s):

Part-Time 20 hours/week, 8:00am-4:30pm, 9:30am-6:00pm with rotation of weekends, holidays, on-call & other shifts as needed

Registered Nurse (RN) Position Responsibilities:

Registered Nurse (RN) Position Requirements:

• Graduate from an accredited nursing degree program required.
• Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing preferred. Certification in a specialty area.
  • Bachelor’s Degree required within 8 years of being hired for those licensed after 2017.
• Currently licensed as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State
• Two (2) years Critical Care experience or combination of experience from Endoscopy, Cardiac, ICU or PACU experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within three months.
• PALS required within six months.
