Job summary

McLaren Health Care in Pontiac, Michigan seeks a Registered Nurse to join the Emergency Services team. The RN will deliver high-quality nursing care using the nursing process, collaborate with the care team, and support patient-family centered care in a dynamic emergency setting.

Required qualifications include RN licensure, BCLS, and ACLS for certain units, with a preferred BSN and at least one year in a department clinical specialty.

Qualifications

• RN licensure and graduation from an approved school of Nursing.
• BCLS certification is required; ACLS for certain units.
• On-going professional development and license renewal.

Responsibilities

• Assess physical, psychosocial, and educational needs of patients.
• Plan and implement nursing care according to patient needs.
• Perform interventions and evaluate patient responses to care.
• Coordinate with the healthcare team to ensure patient-family centered care.
• Maintain professional standards and hospital policies.

Position Summary:

The Registered Nurse delivers quality nursing care through the utilization of the nursing process. Works collaboratively with other members of the healthcare team to maintain standards for professional nursing practice. Carries out functions according to hospital policy, the hospital mission, and standards of practice defined by professional and regulatory guidelines. Directs, coordinates and delegates activities in order to foster patient / family centered care.

Responsibilities:

• Assesses the physical, psychosocial, and educational needs of the patient.
• Plans and implements nursing care according to patient and family needs.
• Makes appropriate interventions based upon individual patient needs.
• Evaluates patient responses to nursing interventions.
• Assumes personal responsibility for quality patient care, patient satisfaction, environment, and professional development.
