Job summary

Nashville General Hospital is seeking an experienced ER Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Emergency Unit. You will admit and assess patients, administer treatments, monitor vital signs, run tests, coordinate care with physicians and specialists, and document progress in the chart.

Qualified candidates hold an approved RN license in Tennessee or a compact state, have BLS on hire, and preferably 1 year of ER experience; ACLS/TNCC/PALS/CPI within 90 days, ENPC preferred.

Qualifications

• Nursing degree from an accredited program (ADN or Diploma); BSN preferred.
• Current RN license in Tennessee or a compact state.
• Minimum of 1 year ER experience preferred.
• BLS required at hire; ACLS, TNCC, PALS and CPI required within 90 days; ENPC preferred.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited associate in Nursing Program (or Diploma) Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing Preferred.
• Current Licensure or permit to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Tennessee or compact state.
• One year of experience ispreferred.
• Employee must have valid BLS when hired. ACLS, TNCC, PALS and CPI are required within 90 days of hire. ENPC preferred.
