Job summary

Novant Health in Bluffton, SC is hiring Registered Nurses for a brand-new 11-bed freestanding ED opening this May. This role supports world-class emergency care in the Lowcountry, with night and mid-shift rotations and full-time status including weekends and holidays.

The RN will lead care delivery, collaborate with physicians, and coordinate with the care team to navigate patient health journeys, using best practices and compassionate care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current RN licensure in the appropriate state.
• If RN license inactive, retired, or lapsed for five years or more, complete a Board approved refresher course.

Responsibilities

• Lead the healthcare team and establish an authentic relationship with patients and their support systems.
• Collaborate with physicians and team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate an individualized plan of care.
• Provide care in accordance with current policies and procedures.

Novant Health is expanding! We are seeking RNs for our brand-new, 11-bed Freestanding Emergency Department opening this May in Bluffton, SC. We are looking for dedicated healthcare professionals to help us expand access to world‑class emergency care in the heart of the Lowcountry.

Address: 8 Parkside Ave, Bluffton, SC

Float requirement: Staff will float between the Bluffton Freestanding ED and Novant Health Hilton Head Medical Center

Shift: Night shift/Mid shift rotation (7pm-7am and 3pm-3am) shifts available

Status: Full Time - Weekend and holiday rotation required

What You'll Do

The Registered Nurse serves as a leader of the healthcare team at Novant Health by establishing an authentic personalized relationship with the patient and their chosen support system, collaborating with physicians and other team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate an individualized plan of care that promotes optimal health or supports a peaceful death. The Registered Nurse utilizes best scientific evidence and compassion to assist the patient in navigating their health journey. The Registered Nurse accepts responsibility, authority, and accountability for management and provision of care in accordance with the current policies and procedures.

What We're Looking For

• Education: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required. If your RN nursing license has been inactive, retired or lapsed for five years or more and you have not been licensed in another state during the last five years, successful completion of a Board approved refresher course is required prior to reactivating or reinstating your license. In order to be considered for current licensure status, you must apply for reinstatement within one year of completing the refresher course.
• Experience: One year relevant experience, preferred.
• Licensure/Certification: Current RN licensure in appropriate state, required.
