Valley Hospital Medical Center, Inc. is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide safe and competent care in accordance with hospital policies and patient-centered care principles. You will lead and support the healthcare team while overseeing staff under your supervision.

The role requires an RN license in Nevada, BLS, and ACLS; PALS or NRP as required by department. A BSN is preferred and a year of acute care experience is expected or completion of a specialty program within six months of hire.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing is required.
• One (1) year acute care experience or successful completion of an approved specialty course within 6 months of hire.
• Current RN license in the State of Nevada. Current BLS certification. ACLS certification (Adult patients). PALS or NRP as required by department.

Responsibilities

Provide safe, competent nursing care for patients in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy. Provide professional leadership and support to the healthcare team. The concepts of Patient Centered Care will provide the foundation for all nursing care. Oversees and guides employees that are under his/her supervision. Demonstrates Service Excellence standards at all times.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing and completion of a Specialty course/or equivalent. BSN preferred.
• Experience: One (1) year acute care experience or successful completion of an approved specialty course within 6 months of hire.
• License/Certification: Current RN license in the State of Nevada. Current BLS certification. Current ACLS certification (Adult patients). Current PALS certification (Pediatric patients) or current NRP certification (Neonatal patients) as required by department. Other certifications as may be required by facility, specialty or department.
• Must successfully pass any pre-employment assessment(s) required by the facility.
