Job summary

Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center in Williamsburg, VA is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department on the Second (Evenings) shift. This full-time role includes benefits and a sign-on bonus.

As an ED RN you will assess patients, administer medications, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality care. BLS within 90 days, ACLS/PALS recommended; new grads welcome.

Qualifications

• ED experience strongly preferred.
• RNs with acute care floor nursing will be considered.
• New grads will be considered.

Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for performing a competent level of nursing care as demonstrated by the critical thinking model known as the nursing process. The standards of practice (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, coordination of care- teaching and health promotion and evaluation) along with the standards of professional performance (ethics, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence- based practice /nursing research, quality, evaluation, resource utilization, and environmental health) encompass the actions and foundation of professional nursing. The RN possesses clinical knowledge and skills to meet standards as required by specific clinical areas.
Meets and maintains any requirements defined by specific specialty; All Direct Care RNs are required to have BLS within 90 days of hire.
