Job summary

University Medical Center of El Paso (UMC) is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care using the nursing process. You will assess, diagnose, plan, implement and evaluate care while coordinating with the care team to achieve quality outcomes.

Requirements include 2 years of RN experience, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, and a valid Texas RN license with CPR, ACLS, NPR, PALS, TNCC/ATCN, and ENPC certifications within specified timeframes. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Qualifications

• Two years of RN experience.
• Bachelor degree in Nursing is required.
• Current Texas RN license to practice in Texas.
• CPR training, ACLS within 6 months for critical care areas, NPR within 6 months for Mother/Baby to Ambulatory areas, PALS within 6 months for ED/OR/IR, TNCC or ATCN within 1 year for Emergency/ICU areas, ENPC within 1 year for Emergency department.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient care through the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Direct and coordinate all nursing care for patients based on standards.
• Collaborate with other disciplines to ensure effective and efficient care delivery.
• Support the organization’s vision and mission and address patient age and cultural needs.
