Job summary

The Medical University of South Carolina seeks an RN I to provide individualized, goal-directed patient care at night, following the nursing process to ensure safe and effective outcomes. You will collaborate with the health care team to achieve desired results and meet licensure requirements.

Minimum qualifications include an Associate degree in nursing (Bachelor’s preferred); licensure in SC or compact state, BLS, PALS, ACLS; sign-on bonus of $30,000 for experienced new hires.

Job Description

$30,000 sign on bonus for experienced new hires


Minimum Training and Education

Associate degree in nursing. Bachelor’s degree preferred.


Required Licensure, Certifications, Registrations

Licensure as a registered nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or a compact state. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required, either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider. Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required

Ability to maintain 20/40 vision, corrected, in one eye or with both eyes. (Continuous) Ability to see and recognize objects close at hand or at a distance. (Continuous) Ability to match or discriminate between colors. (Continuous) Ability to determine distance/relationship between objects; depth perception. (Continuous) Good peripheral vision capabilities. (Continuous) Ability to maintain hearing acuity, with correction.
