Baptist Health - Central Alabama is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department (3P-3A) on a full-time basis in Montgomery, AL. The RN will supervise nursing staff on shift, perform assessments, plan care, and coordinate interventions in collaboration with physicians and other clinicians.
The ideal candidate holds an RN license with BLS, and BSN is preferred. ACLS/PALS/NRP/TNCC may be required depending on area, with duties expanding as needed to ensure patient safety and quality

Registered Nurse will provide general supervision and coordination of nursing personnel on shift, including weekends and holidays, to ensure quality and continuity of patient care. The RN will utilize the nursing process in patient assessments, care planning, and performance of care interventions, collaborating with physicians and other healthcare clinicians. Additional duties within scope of the role may be assigned.
Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred.
Active RN licensure required, BLS required. Additional certifications (ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC, etc.) may be required depending on area assigned.
Position requires sitting for 20% of the workday and mobility 80% of the workday. Occasional stooping, bending, kneeling, and crouching. Frequent reaching, use of hands, and repetitive action. Requires occasional lifting or carrying up to 50 pounds, pushing/pulling up to 150 pounds. Continuous need for speaking with clear diction and hearing sensitivity in conversation either by phone or in person. Continuous visual acuity at close and distant range. Inside protected from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes. Minimal noise levels. Much exposure to computer work. Occasional exposure to risk of electrical shock. Some exposure to infectious disease while performing job-related tasks. Some exposure to hazardous chemicals. Occasional exposure to radiation.
