Job summary

UCSF Health in San Francisco seeks a Registered Nurse to provide safe, therapeutic care using the nursing process in an Emergency Department setting. You will work as a member of an interdisciplinary team and support patient care management.

Requires California RN licensure and at least two years of ED experience; flexibility to orient to UCSF Stanyan and Hyde EDs is required. Preferred qualifications include CEN, BSN, and Cerner experience.

Qualifications

  • Eligibility to work at UCSF Stanyan and Hyde EDs.
  • Current CPR, ACLS, and PALS certifications.

  • Assist with management of patient care by other nursing staff.
  • Perform nursing procedures and duties as required.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications
  • Possession of the legal requirements to practice as a Registered Nurse as determined by the California Board of Registered Nursing
  • Minimum of two (2) years of RN clinical experience in an Emergency Department setting
  • Current Emergency Department RN experience
  • Flexibility to orient and work at UCSF Stanyan and Hyde Emergency Departments
  • Demonstrated knowledge, skills, and abilities required to successfully perform the duties of the position
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) certification
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applicationsExperience with Cerner electronic medical record system
Licensure And Certifications
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of California
  • Current healthcare provider CPR certification
  • Current healthcare provider Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
  • Current healthcare provider Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
