Job summary

Cape Fear Valley Health System is hiring an RN for the Dorothea Dix Adolescent Care unit in Lillington, NC. The Registered Nurse will plan and implement professional nursing care for patients aged 12–17 in a 16-bed mixed ED setting, working 12-hour shifts on a rotating track schedule.

Responsibilities include administering medications, coordinating with the care team, and maintaining a safe environment while delivering trauma-informed behavioral health care.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in nursing required.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
• Current licensure in North Carolina as a Registered Nurse or Compact state licensure.
• Trauma-informed care experience in behavioral health is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and identify care needs.
• Plan, organize, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Administer medication as ordered by physician.
• Maintain a safe environment for patients.
• Act as charge nurse as assigned.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary health system staff and medical staff.
