Job summary

Central Care Incorporated in Los Angeles Air Force Base, El Segundo, CA, seeks a Registered Nurse – Disease Management to support active-duty members and families.

Schedule: 6:30 AM – 5:30 PM, Monday–Friday, 9-hour shifts with a 1-hour lunch; not to exceed 40 hours per week. This is a civilian contractor role with a strong mission focus.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s Degree of Nursing required.
  • ACEN or CCNE accredited education.
  • One year of RN experience in the last two years.
  • Current full, unrestricted RN license in the U.S.
  • Current BLS certification.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate patient care with a broad healthcare team.
  • Facilitate optimal outcomes in clinical care, quality, and cost.
  • Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Perform physical exams and health histories.
  • Provide health promotions, counseling, and education.
  • Administer medications and wound care.
  • Direct and supervise healthcare professionals.
  • Assign patient care based on scope of practice and skills.
  • Recognize adverse signs and respond to emergencies.
  • Communicate with diverse teams for plans and education.
  • Make referrals and arrange specialty care.
  • Provide nursing services identified in the TO.

Civilian Contractor | Central Care Incorporated

Schedule: 6:30 AM – 5:30 PM, - Monday - Friday. Normal work

schedules will be 9-hour shifts, to include a 1-hour non-paid lunch each day, not to exceed 40 hours per week or 80 hours per two weeks. * Flexibility of an 8 or 10-hour shift is at the discretion/approval of the squadron commander(s) and mission.

Compensation & Benefits
  • $63.80/hour base rate

  • $4.93/hour Health & Welfare (H&W)

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Degree: Associate’s Degree of Nursing.

  • Education: Graduate from a college or university accredited by Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).

  • Experience One year of experience within the last two years as a registered nurse.

  • Licensure: Must hold a full, current, and unrestricted license in a State, Territory, Commonwealth, or the District of Columbia.

  • Non-Personal Services: Must hold a full, current, valid, unrestricted license (with no limitations, stipulations, or pending adverse actions) that abides by the State requirements of the location of performance.

  • Certification: Current Basic Life Support (BLS)

Core Duties:
  • Coordinate patient care in collaboration with a wide array of healthcare professionals.

  • Facilitate the achievement of optimal outcomes in relation to clinical care, quality and cost effectiveness.

  • Ensure compliance with standards of care and practice in accordance with all established policies, procedures, and guidelines used in the MTF.

  • Perform physical exam and health histories.

  • Provide health promotions, counseling, and education.

  • Administer medications, wound care, and numerous other personalized interventions.

  • Direct and provide clinical supervision of care provided by other healthcare professionals.

  • Accountable for making patient care assignments based on the scope of practice and skill level of assigned personnel.

  • Recognize adverse signs and symptoms and quickly react in emergency situations.

  • Communicate and collaborate with a diverse group of people for the purpose of informing the healthcare team of plans/actions, for teaching/education to benefit the patient/family and organization.

  • Make referral appointments and arrange specialty care as appropriate.

  • Perform nursing services identified in the TO.

  • Provide feedback to the Government in support of improved practice and patient outcomes
