Job summary

MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center in Mason City, IA seeks an experienced RN to join the multidisciplinary team on the Day shift. You will deliver patient care using the nursing process, assess needs, develop and implement care plans, and guide care activities with Nurse Assistants.

Minimum qualifications include Iowa RN licensure, BSN preferred, and willingness to train new graduates. This full-time role offers education assistance, Day 1 benefits, competitive wages with weekend/night

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure in Iowa, or multi-state licensure.
• Graduate of an accredited RN program.
• BSN preferred; acute care experience optional.
• Willing to train new RN graduates.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to needs.

Responsibilities

• Assesses and documents patient/family needs with a multidisciplinary team.
• Develops and implements a plan of care, including discharge planning.
• Guides patient care activities and uses evidence-based practice.
• Provides daily direction to Nurse Assistants.
• Facilitates teaching to meet patient/family education needs.
• Communicates patient changes to colleagues and caregivers.
