Job summary

Methodist Southwest Medical Center in Dallas, a 314-bed acute care teaching hospital, seeks a Registered Nurse to provide professional and technical nursing care. The RN will use the nursing process for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation and support the hospital’s mission and goals.

The hospital has expanded emergency services, ICU, labor and delivery, and interventional radiology, with multiple awards and a diverse team.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Basic Life Support Certification.
• Current license to practice nursing in Texas or eligibility to do so.
• 1 year RN experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to hospital standards to promote a cooperative work environment through communication and teamwork.
• Assumes responsibility for nursing components of patient/family care.
• Communicates with team, patients, and family members and evaluates understanding.
