Job summary

Mount Olivet Rolling Acres in Minnesota is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to promote hygienic living, health, and comprehensive care for clients with developmental disabilities and medical needs. The RN will support residents across sites with a base in Victoria, MN and travel to Metro-area locations as required.

The position offers $35–$40 per hour, with Monday–Friday hours and an on-call rotation. Minnesota RN licensure, background check, and physical requirements apply; travel and training

Qualifications

• Must pass Department of Human Services background check and maintain “qualified” status.
• Must not be excluded from government health programs by the Office Of Inspector General.
• Must be able to meet the company’s physical job demands.
• If using own vehicle for company business, must have a valid driver's license and insurance as required by state law.

Responsibilities

• Arrange for routine and emergency medical and dental care and accompany clients when appropriate.
• Monitor clients’ health concerns and promote a hygienic environment.
• Provide medical care and knowledge to caregivers.
• Train staff in first aid, CPR, and medication administration.
• Communicate with families, guardians, and supervisors.
• Assist in writing reports, forms, and assessments and maintain height/weight records.

Job Summary: The Registered Nurse (RN) assists in promoting a hygienic environment, healthy lifestyle, and all aspects of healthcare for clients.

Mount Olivet Rolling Acres – MORA – is a diverse and inclusive nonprofit that has supported adults, seniors and children with developmental disabilities, behavioral health needs as well as age-related and chronic medical conditions for over 50 years in the Twin Cities metro.

MORA provides an array of services: Adult Day Services, Contracted Case Management, Community Supports, over 30 Residential Homes, Respite, Therapeutic Recreation, Training for Guardians & Families, and a Discover Summer Daytime Programming for Youth with Disabilities. Our Metro Crisis Coordination Program (MCCP) offers a safety net of crucial and cost-effective services for adults and children.

Hourly Rate: starting at $35.00 -$40.00 per hour- DOQ

Schedule: Monday - Friday business hours On-call rotation

Locations: Carver County and Hennepin County primary locations with a Health Services office located in Victoria as a base to travel to Metro areas

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Arrange for routine/emergency medical/dental care and accompany clients, when appropriate
• Monitor clients’ health concerns
• Promote a hygienic environment and healthy lifestyle
• Provide needed medical care to clients
• Provide medical knowledge to care givers
• Promote infection control, accident prevention
• Communicate with families, guardians, and supervisors
• Administer quarterly assessments and evaluations
• Assist in writing reports, forms, and assessments
• Assist in writing height and weight records
• Train staff in first aid, CPR, medication administration, etc, as assigned
• Give employees health care instructions
• Perform nursing duties as allowed by your state licensure
• Provide training in consumer care to new hires and on-going/annual training to all household staff
• Ensureadequate supervision of clients
• Workharmoniously with and shows respect for employees, supervisors, vendors, and clients
• Performother duties as assigned

Desirable Qualifications:

• must have current nursing license in state of Minnesota
• work experience or training with Developmental Disabilities
• computer and word processing skills
