Job summary

Montefiore Nyack Hospital in Nyack, NY is seeking a Registered Nurse to manage, delegate, and coordinate patient care across the nursing process. You will communicate with patients and the multidisciplinary team, assess and treat patients from neonate to geriatric, and maintain clinical competence to meet care standards.

The role requires on-call duties, active licensure, and certifications (BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP).

Qualifications

• Associate Degree and Bachelor Degree 1-3 years Minimum of 1 years' experience in the area applying for Required National Certification in area of practice preferred.
• On Call required for the following areas: OR, PACU, and Cath Lab.
• Required BLS - American Heart Association.
• Required ACLS - American Heart Association.
• Required PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support - American Heart Association.
• Required NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Program - American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Systematically provides nursing care to patients within the framework of the nursing process and established standards of practice.
• Integrates principles of patient safety in the provision of direct nursing care and medication management.
• Adheres to established system-wide communication standards and processes.
• Participates in designated forums which address patient care, patient education, policy and procedures, safety and clinical outcomes.
• Demonstrates accountability for maintaining and improving professional knowledge and skill related to the area of practice.
• Document on addendum age specific competency.
