Job summary

HCA Florida Gainesville Neurosurgery is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide clinical expertise across pre- and post-operative care in a fast-paced setting. This full-time role features days, Monday through Friday, with no nights or weekends.

You will assess patients, administer medications, maintain records, and educate patients and families. Requires RN license and 1–3 years’ experience; join an amazing team committed to compassionate care.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of registered nursing is required.
• 1-3 years' experience as a registered nurse is preferred.
• Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse in accordance with state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Manage flow of patients including screening, preparation for exam, providing general nursing care, and arranging or testing and admissions.
• Instruct patients and families regarding medications and treatment instructions.
• Maintain and review patients’ records including posting tests and examination results.
• Administer medications in accordance with physician orders.
• Check rooms daily for necessary supplies.
• Respond to and refer incoming telephone calls (may include phone triage when needed).
• Practice and adhere to the “Code of Conduct” philosophy and “Mission and Value Statement”.
