Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Basic Life Support certification.
• Current license to practice nursing in Texas or eligible to do so.
• Work experience: 12 months of RN experience.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to hospital standards and promotes a cooperative work environment through communication and teamwork.
• Assumes responsibility for nursing components of patient/family care.
• Communicates with team, co-workers, patients, and families and ensures understanding.
• Creates and maintains a safe, therapeutic environment for patients and staff.
• Delivers safe, accurate, timely medication and IV administration.
• Utilizes the nursing process to ensure quality patient care throughout the episode.
