University of Michigan is hiring three Registered Nurses for the Mott Children's Hospital Operating Room. This full‑time position (1.0 FTE) involves scrub and circulating duties under supervision, with rotating day/night shifts and on‑call requirements. Experience in pediatric OR and call responsiveness preferred.

Responsibilities*

• To function as a scrub and circulating nurse in rooms assigned under clinical supervision of a Supervisor/Clinical Nursing Directoras appropriate.
• To rotate shift and accept call as assigned by Supervisor/ Clinical Nursing Director.
• To assist in the teaching activities of the Operating Room.

Required Qualifications*

• Current licensure to practice nursing in the state of Michigan.
• Experience in Operating Room setting performing scrubbing and circulating duties in multi-surgical specialties.
• Call commitment with a 30 minute response time.

In order to be considered for this position the applicant must have met or will have met all the required qualifications prior to the start date of employment.

Desired Qualifications*

• BSN
• Recent pediatric OR RN experience within the last 6 months.
• Recent pediatric and/or adult advanced endoscopy experience within the last 6 months

Hourly range for Registered Nurses $43.46-$67.40 / hour

• Evening Shift Differential-$3.00 / hour

Nursing Specific Info

Salary & Nursing Framework Level:
This UMPNC RN posting is posted as Nursing Framework LEVEL C.
Actual Nursing Framework LEVEL and salary will be determined at time of hire.
Nursing Framework levels range from Level A to Level E.
Required qualifications must be met by the candidate in order to be interviewed and considered for the position.
Posting may be filled after the initial 5-day posting period.
Applicants who have left the UMPNC bargaining unit must include on their resume dates of past employment including months and years of service along with effort.
Positions less than 20 hours/week may be combined.

Modes of Work

Work Schedule

Hours: 40 hours a week
Shift/Days: Day/Night rotating; i ncludes w eekend requirements and holiday obligations.

Location: Mott Children's Hospital-Operating Room

All new employees will be expected to float to a designated unit(s) in times of low census.
