Valley Health is seeking a Registered Nurse II (RN II) in our Surgical Services department. The RN II will provide comprehensive nursing care following the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation, while ensuring safe, high-quality patient care and effective teaching for patients and families.

The role requires RN licensure in Virginia, BLS certification, and strong communication and teamwork.

Qualifications

• RN currently licensed in Virginia or eligible for licensure in Virginia.
• BLS Certification (AHA Healthcare Provider) required.
• Excellent communication and teamwork with leadership responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care using the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Direct, coordinate, and participate in patient teaching, safety initiatives and interprofessional activities.
• Serve as Charge Nurse and lead unit initiatives and quality improvement efforts.
• Maintain documentation and professional practice ladder requirements.

Portfolio is current and submitted to Director/Designee annually by March 1st.
