Job summary

Aspirus Howard Young Medical Center in Woodruff, WI is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Critical Care Unit. This is a Full-Time or .9 FTE position, 72 hours every pay period with varied shifts, every third weekend and holiday rotation.

The ideal candidate will have an Associate degree in nursing (Bachelor's preferred), an active WI and/or MI RN license, current BLS, and appropriate critical care certifications (ACLS/PALS/NRP may be required by department). A sign-on bonus may be offered.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in nursing required.
• Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
• Certification in specialty desired.
• Ideally, minimum of three years practicing as an RN in comparable setting.
• Possesses an active Wisconsin and/or Michigan RN license.
• Maintains specialty certification as per department scope of service.
• Current BLS certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.
• ACLS and/or PALS/NRP certifications may be required based on department.

Responsibilities

• Assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care incorporating evidence-based practice.
• Continually improve the quality of nursing care by collecting and analyzing data.

Registered Nurse

A professional who assumes responsibility and accountability for the provision of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care provided that incorporates evidence-based practice. A key aspect of the work of Nursing is to continually improve the quality of nursing care by collecting and analyzing data.

Experience/Qualifications

• Associate degree in nursing required.
• Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
• Certification in specialty desired.
• Ideally, there is a minimum of three years practicing as an RN in comparative setting.
• Possesses an active Wisconsin and/or Michigan RN nursing license.
• Maintains specialty certification as per department scope of service.
• Current BLS certification or obtained within 90 days of hire. (See Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Training Policy).
• Current Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support Provider (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), or Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP) certification may be required based on primary department.
