Job summary

Ascension Providence Hospital in Waco, TX is seeking an ICU travel nurse to join Ascension Premier Staffing. You will work multiple shifts totaling 36 hours per week, with gross pay up to a weekly rate of $2,609.

Highlights include coordinating care with interdisciplinary teams, implementing care plans, and ensuring medical orders are carried out. Prior travel experience and ICU expertise are preferred.

Qualifications

• Certified Advanced Life Support (ACLS) within 6 months of hire date.
• Certified BLS Provider within 30 days of hire date.
• Registered Nurse (RN) license prior to hire.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Implements and monitors patient care plans. Monitors, records and communicates patient condition as appropriate.


• Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.


• Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders.


• Assesses and coordinates patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• Certified Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.


• Certified BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.


• Certified Registered Nurse obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Education

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required. OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.

Preferred Experience

• 3 years Critical Care experience


• Previous experience with APS travel


• Previous experience with TAVR, CABG, CVA, respiratory distress, TNK, GIB, DKA, CEA, sepsis, fem pop, thoracotomy, vent management, HFNC, TTM, IABP, Impella, CRRT, STEMI, HF, hypoxic, respiratory failure, CHF, pneumonia
