California Correctional Health Care Services (CCHCS) currently seeks a Registered Nurse, CF at San Quentin Rehabilitation Center in San Quentin, CA. The CF RN delivers comprehensive nursing care in the Correctional Treatment Center under supervision, adhering to health care policies and procedures.
The role partners with the Primary Care Team to ensure continuity of care and coordinates interdisciplinary communication to support timely, efficient health care for inmates in an inpatient setting.

Effective July 1, 2025, in accordance with the applicable Memorandum of Understanding, the Personal Leave Program 2025 (PLP 2025) was implemented. PLP 2025 requires each full-time employee in Bargaining Unit 17 , and related Excluded, Exempt and Statutory Exempt employees, will have their base salary reduced by 3 percent and will receive 5 PLP 2025 leave credits monthly through June 2027. Salaries do not reflect the recent changes.
Under the supervision of a Supervising Registered Nurse 11/111, Correctional Facility (CF) and the direction of the Shift Lead Registered Nurse (RN), CF, the Correctional Treatment Center (CTC) RN, CF organizes and provides necessary nursing care in accordance with health care policies and procedures, program requirements, and regulations. The CTC RN, CF in collaboration with the CTC care team ensures the delivery of appropriate and timely health care to patients in the inpatient setting. In collaboration with the Primary Care Team (PCT), coordinates interdisciplinary communication to promote continuity of care. The CTC RN, CF is responsible for addressing the ongoing health care needs of patients and for promoting the timely, efficient, and appropriate use of health care resources.
Possession of a current license as Registered Nurse in California. (Applicants who do not meet this requirement will be admitted to the examination, but they must secure the required license before they will be considered eligible for appointment.)
