Job summary

Westchester Jewish Community Services (WJCS) seeks two Registered Nurses (RN) to deliver comprehensive nursing services in residential programs in Westchester County, NY. RNs will assess, plan, coordinate healthcare, and promote residents' health and safety in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team.

Two daytime/early-evening openings: White Plains at 30 hours per week; Sleepy Hollow & Mamaroneck at 26 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Must hold NYS RN licensure.
• Current CPR certification is required.
• Experience working with individuals who are developmentally or cognitively disabled is preferred.
• Strong clinical, organizational, and communication skills are essential.
• Ability to work independently and with multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication is required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct nursing assessments and develop individualized care plans.
• Coordinate routine and specialty medical evaluations, including physical, dental, vision, hearing, and other clinical services as needed.
• Monitor health status through regular visits and follow-up on medical recommendations.
• Arrange laboratory testing and ensure timely healthcare interventions.
• Collaborate with families, advocates, and healthcare providers to support optimal outcomes.
• Administer immunizations and ensure compliance with health protocols.
• Oversee medication administration and review MARs.
• Educate staff on medical protocols and health-related procedures.
• Maintain accurate medical documentation and communicate changes in health status.
• Participate in IDT and nursing meetings and clinical reviews.
• Provide on-call support and consultation as scheduled.
• Supervise nursing support staff.
