Job summary

Palmetto Infusion seeks a Registered Nurse Clinician to deliver physician-prescribed infusion therapy to patients with acute and chronic conditions in ambulatory clinics.

Schedule: Monday–Friday 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, Saturdays as needed; travel to Asheville and nearby clinics as required. Requires NC RN license, BLS, and 1 year infusion experience with strong teamwork and HIPAA compliance.

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license in the state(s) of practice.
• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience in a clinical specialty involving infusion therapy.
• BLS or obtain upon hire.
• Proficient with MS Outlook, Word, Excel.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate as part of an interdisciplinary team in an ambulatory infusion clinic setting.
• Assess and care for patients using the nursing process.
• Provide comprehensive, ethical, knowledgeable, and compassionate nursing care.
• Educate patients and caregivers on disease and drug therapies.
• Comply with HIPAA and ACHC regulations.

About the Role:

The purpose of the Registered Nurse Clinician is to provide medically prescribed infusion therapy to patients with acute and chronic conditions.

Schedule: Monday - Friday; 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Saturdays as needed.

Service Areas: Asheville, NC. May travel to nearby clinics as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

Experience/Education:

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Active Registered Nurse license in the state(s) of practice.
• 1 year of nursing experience in a clinical specialty involving infusion therapy.
• BLS or obtain upon hire.
• Proficient at partner programs (i.e.: MS Outlook, Word,Excel).
• Ability to cope with ambiguous, changing environment while under pressure in a calmmanner.
• Must be able to work as a team member and develop productive and cooperative working relationships with all members of the Palmetto Infusion team.

Essential Functions:

• Work collaboratively as a member of an interdisciplinary team in an ambulatory infusion clinic setting.
• Effectively utilize the nursing process to assess and care for patients.
• Provide comprehensive nursing care in a professional, ethical, knowledgeable, and compassionate manner.
• Provide disease and drug-specific education to patients and caregivers.
• Comply with HIPAA and ACHC regulations.
• Participates in on-call rotation as assigned for AIC nurses.
• Travel to outlying clinics as needed.
• Maintain knowledge of medical/nursing practices by participating in educational in-services.
• Accurately perform all nursing duties according to the state nurse practice act while adhering to company policies and procedures including, but not limited to:
  • accessing and maintaining central lines and PIVS
  • obtaining lab specimens
  • collecting vital signs
  • Safely administer intravenous and injectable medications as ordered by prescribing physicians
  • documenting patient care
  • responding to and accurately reporting adverse drug reactions
  • assisting with administrative duties as needed

About the Benefits:

The anticipated pay range for this position is $38-41/hour. Final compensation is based on factors including experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
