Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age (21 for positions requiring driving, with a valid driver's license).
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Must successfully pass a background check.
• Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen and breath alcohol test (if applicable).
• Must complete an Employee Health meeting prior to starting employment.

Responsibilities

• Records patient's current status, past medical history, vaccine status, vital statistics, and medication reconciliation in EMR.
• Respects patient confidentiality per HIPAA and uses discretion in discussing patient information.
• Collects, labels, and transports specimens appropriately.
• Assists providers with tests and procedures.
• Demonstrates proper IV start and monitors IV fluids for correct rate.
• Ensures safety and appropriate dosing for each patient, including pediatric considerations.
• Maintains instrument cleanliness, packaging, and sterilization as appropriate.
• Floats to other clinical departments as assigned and participates in team duties.
