Job summary

Alvarado Eye Surgery Center, located in Los Angeles, CA, seeks a Registered Nurse - Charge Nurse to lead nursing operations in a fast-paced ophthalmic ASC. You will supervise staff, coordinate patient care, and support the center administrator in daily activities.

The role requires a California RN license, perioperative OR/PACU experience, and at least 1 year in a nursing leadership position. BLS/ACLS, Spanish or Korean bilingual skills, and ASC experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current unencumbered California RN License
• 1+ years experience in perioperative setting in OR and PACU; ophthalmology procedures preferred
• 1+ years nursing leadership experience as a Charge RN, Supervisor, Manager, or DON
• Experience in an ASC
• Bilingual in Spanish or Korean preferred
• BLS & ACLS per AHA
• Independent decision making and prioritization
• Excellent communication with staff, physicians, patients and families

What You Will Do (Job Summary):

The Registered Nurse - Charge Nurse, serving as the nursing support for the center Administrator, will be the main point of contact for RNs regarding patient care, scheduling, and other day-to-day responsibilities. They also perform the duties of a Registered Nurse daily and provide supervision and guidance to the nursing staff, stepping in as a staff nurse when necessary due to staffing needs.

Key Duties Include

• Manages nursing operations according to policies, protocols, and regulations.
• Uses data for continuous quality improvement and coordinates with Quality Management Committee.
• Ensures clinical care meets standards, collaborating with Center Manager and physicians.
• Handles clinical relations, including recruitment, training, and associate engagement.

NO call required!
NO Nights, NO Weekends, NO Holiday work hours!
The starting pay range for this position is $46 - $69/hour, depending on experience.

Required Skills:

• Graduate of accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current unencumbered California RN License
• 1+ years experience in perioperative setting in OR and PACU. Experience in Opthalmology procedures preferred.
• 1+ years nursing leadership experience as a Charge RN, Supervisor, Manager, or DON.
• Experience working in an Ambulatory Surgical Center (ASC)
• Bilingual in Spanish or Korean preferred
• BLS & ACLS accredited by AHA required
• Independent decision making skills.
• Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects.
• Excellent communication skills with staff, physicians, patients, families and vendors.
