Job summary

Methodist Dallas Medical Center in Dallas, TX seeks an experienced registered nurse to deliver professional and technical nursing care to assigned patients, using the full nursing process from assessment to evaluation. Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Basic Life Support Certification (BLS).
• Current license to practice nursing in Texas or eligibility to obtain.
• Six months RN work experience.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to hospital standards to promote a cooperative work environment via communication, interpersonal relationships, and teamwork.
• Assumes responsibility for nursing components of patient/family education.
• Communicates with the team, patients, and family and confirms understanding of information.
• Maintains a safe and therapeutic environment for patients, staff, and facility.
• Ensures complete, accurate, timely written communication of patient information.
• Administers medications and IV therapy safely and accurately.
• Demonstrates personal responsibility for performance and professional growth.
• Applies the nursing process to ensure quality patient care throughout the episode of care.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Provides direct and indirect patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation).

Supports the mission, vision, values and strategic goals of Methodist Health System.

Your Job Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Current Basic Life Support Certification
• Current license to practice nursing in Texas or eligibility to do so
• Work experience: Six months RN experience
