Job summary

Boca Raton Regional Hospital, part of Baptist Health, is seeking a Direct Patient Care Registered Nurse for the Cardiac Cath Lab in Boca Raton. This full-time position requires a 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM schedule with call time.

The RN will provide bedside care, collaborate with the cardiovascular team, monitor post-procedure patients, and ensure adherence to BLS/ACLS; 1 year of ER/ICU/Cath Lab experience is preferred. A $15,000 bonus is offered along with Baptist Health’s comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• BLS and ACLS required.
• Associates or BSN required per policy.
• 1 year acute ER/ICU/Cath Lab experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside nursing care in the Cath Lab.
• Coordinate with cardiovascular team and physicians.
• Monitor patients post-procedure and respond to changes in condition.
• Meet licensure and competency requirements (preceptor class, certifications).

The Direct Patient Care Registered Nurse- DPC RN is a licensed professional able to demonstrate the following proficiency and mastery of the core competencies: assessment, technical skills, communication, critical thinking, interpersonal skills, planning, intervention, evaluation, flexibility, organizational skills, professional accountability, leadership and service who delivers patient-family centered care in a culturally competent manner utilizing and promoting evidence based practice standards of quality, safety and service.

Qualifications

Degrees:

• Associates.

Licenses & Certifications:

• Basic Life Support.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support.
• Registered Nurse.

Additional Qualifications:

• Associates degree in Nursing or Bachelors degree in Nursing.
• RNs hired prior to 2/1/2012 (South), 10/1/2017 (Bethesda), 10/1/2023 (Boca), 7/1/2018 (Fishermen‘s) are not required to have a BSN to continue in their non‑leadership role as an RN.
• RNs hired after 2/1/2012 (South), 10/1/2017 (Bethesda), 10/1/2023 (Boca), 7/1/2018 (Fishermen‘s) with an Associate‘s degree will have 3 years from their date of hire to complete the BSN degree.
• RN must complete a preceptor class within twelve months of being deemed competent by department leadership for independent practice.
• As per department standard any of the following may be required (ACLS-Advanced Cardiac Life Support, BLS- Basic Life Support).

Minimum Required Experience: Candidates must have 1 year acute Emergency Room, ICU, and/or Cardiac Cath Lab experience.BLS and ACLS required. Candidates will be required to take call and report within 30 minutes of call time.
