Job summary

Riverside Health System in Hampton, Virginia is seeking an RN to provide comprehensive nursing care under supervision, developing care plans and coordinating with a multi-disciplinary team. The role involves assessing needs, planning and evaluating care, and ensuring safe patient transitions.

The RN will supervise non-professional staff, document thoroughly, and uphold RHS standards and regulatory requirements while addressing diverse patient populations in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree, Nursing (Preferred) or Associates Degree, Nursing (Preferred) or Nursing Diploma program graduate is minimum education requirement.
• HS Diploma/GED required only if Nursing Diploma Graduate.
• 1 year related RN experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assesses patient clinical and psychosocial needs using standards of practice for the specialty or patient population.
• Partners with patients and families to develop, implement and evaluate a plan of care.
• Facilitates safe patient transitions to the next level of care as part of the plan of care.
• Demonstrates urgency to facilitate patient throughput and ensure quality, ethical care.
• Assesses diverse patient populations and adapts education for patient/family understanding.
• Completes all clinical and quality documentation per RHS standards and regulatory requirements.
