Job summary

Mission Hospital in Asheville, North Carolina, is seeking a Progressive Care Registered Nurse to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care. In collaboration with medical providers, the RN provides pre-operative and post-operative care and serves as an advocate for patients to support an outstanding patient experience.

This role requires ACLS/BLS within 30 days, RN licensure, and a Bachelor's degree. You will assess patients on admission and each shift, document care, administer medications,

Qualifications

• ACLS certification required within 30 days of employment start date.
• BLS certification required within 30 days of employment start date (RN).
• Current Registered Nurse license in good standing.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition during admission and during each shift, identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
• Perform procedures or other functions as ordered by the medical provider.
• Document the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.
• Perform the administration of prescribed medications and monitors response.
• Maintain knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment used in the care of cardiac and medical-surgical patients.
