Job summary

AdventHealth in Littleton, CO is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Operating Room. You will assess, plan, and implement patient care in a fast-paced OR, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, high-quality outcomes.

The role requires 1+ year of surgical OR experience, an RN license, BLS, and the ability to work a Day shift. A sign-on bonus is offered; comprehensive benefits are provided as part of the full-time package.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Nursing (RN) required
• BLS CPR certification required
• Registered Nurse (RN) with state license
• 1+ year OR surgical experience required

Responsibilities

• Assess patient conditions and develop care plans

Job Description:

FT Days $15,000.00 Sign on Bonus This position is eligible for Operating Room (OR) shift differentials.

• Assess patient conditions and needs through comprehensive evaluations to develop individualized care plans.
• Develop and implement patient care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, ensuring comprehensive and continuous care.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely according to prescribed protocols.
• Monitor and evaluate patient progress continuously, adjusting care plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Document patient care activities meticulously to maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, and post-discharge care to promote understanding and compliance.
• Advocate for patient safety by identifying potential risks and implementing preventive measures.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure coordinated and effective patient care.
• Maintain sterile environment and adhere to safety protocols to prevent infection and ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
• Perform therapeutic and diagnostic interventions such as IVs, wound care, medication administration, catheterization, and specimen collections.
• Provide emotional and physical support to patients and their families during recovery.
• Engage in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care quality, safety, and efficiency.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Excellent interpersonal skill set, demonstrating compassion and respect to patients and family undergoing stressful procedures and treatments.
• [Required] Works independently, self-motivated, takes direction from physician and management to complete assignments.
• [Required] Maintain safe knowledge of equipment, procedures, supplies, computer, IV pumps, NOVA Glucose monitor, I-STAT, Immediate use sterilization policy and procedures.
• [Required] Must be proficient in English.
