St. Joseph’s Health, part of Trinity Health, seeks an RN for a full-time Day Shift in the Cardiovascular Lab. Work 4 ten-hour shifts with some on-call.

Join a team performing invasive cardiac diagnostics, structural heart procedures, ablations and vascular interventions in a five-room suite. You will collaborate with invasive cardiologists, vascular surgeons and nurses to coordinate care from admission to discharge, monitor patients during procedures, and ensure accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program and NY RN licensure.
• Minimum 1 year med-surg or critical care experience preferred.
• BSN degree preferred according to NYS requirements.
• GN or RN with <1 year may apply to Graduate Nurse Residency.
• Maintains all licensures and certifications as per NYS regulations.
• Engages in continuing education to maintain clinical skills.

Responsabilités

Employment Type: Full time Shift: Day Shift Description: At St. Joseph’s Health, we prioritize your growth, well-being, and work-life balance while maintaining excellence in patient care. Our Cardiovascular Lab is a five-procedure room suite providing invasive cardiac diagnostic and interventional procedures, structured heart procedures with PFO/ASD closures, myocardial ablations and peripheral vascular diagnostic and interventions including carotid stenting. In addition, we perform surgical procedures including pacemaker insertions, ICD insertions, generator changes, transcatheter aortic valve replacement and mitral clips. Working with a team of credentialed invasive cardiologists and vascular surgeons, we provide scheduled inpatient and outpatient procedures Monday - Friday and emergent procedures on a 24-hour basis. Our highly trained nurses provide comprehensive interdisciplinary care from admission to discharge. The Registered Nurse participates in various roles to ensure quality patient care is provided with optimum outcomes. RN roles range from direct patient care to supervisory or consultative services in various settings within our network.

What you will do

• Responsible for collaboration, communication & facilitation of optimal provision of care with a team approach with physicians, LPN scrub techs and circulating RNs.
• Responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation, coordination, monitoring & evaluation of the patient's plan of care from arrival to transfer out of procedural area.
• Monitor and assist with procedures, deliver care modalities including care of critically ill patients while in the lab.
• Utilize clinical knowledge, critical thinking skills & the principles of case management & adult education to coordinate, implement & support the plan of care.
• Ensure a seamless, effective, efficient transition of care across the continuum.
• Respond to AMI calls in the ED and inpatient units.
• Monitor quality metrics specific to the department & ensure complete & accurate documentation in the patient record.
• Act as mentor, educator, consultant/collaborator, and navigator for students and new colleagues.
• Ensures quality nursing care is rendered to all patients in accordance with the New York Nurse Practice Act, National Standards of Practice, and Nursing and Clinical Service standards of care and practice.

Minimum Qualifications

• *GN’s or RN’s with < 1-year experience should apply to the Graduate Nurse Residency positions.
• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing and current licensure in the State of New York.
• Minimum of 1 year med surg or critical care experience preferred.
• Baccalaureate Degree in the Science of Nursing (BSN) degree from an accredited school of nursing preferred, according to NYS requirements.
• Specialty credentialing & educational degree according to clinical nursing practice specialty area preferred.
• Maintains all licensures and certifications according to NYS regulations and specialty area requirements.
• Participates in continuing education and updates and maintains knowledge and skills related to specific areas of expertise.

Pay Range

$39.90- $58.35 Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
