Job summary

Michigan Medicine in Ann Arbor is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Cardiovascular Center Operating Room. You will scrub and circulate in designated ORs under supervision, rotate shifts, and participate in teaching activities within the OR team.

The role requires current Michigan RN licensure and OR experience, with a 40-hour week and on-site work. Nursing Framework levels and salary will be determined at hire, with comprehensive benefits and union support.

Responsibilities*

Scrub and circulate in the Cardiovascular Center operating rooms assigned under the clinical supervision of a Clinical Nursing Director. To rotate shift and accept call as assigned by Clinical Nursing Director. To assist in the teaching activities of the Operating Room.

Required Qualifications*

Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Michigan

One (1) year of current (within the last year)Operating Room experience as a RN.

Ability to work with a non-responsive patient population.

Call commitment with 30 minute response time.

In order to be considered for this position the applicant must have met or will have met all the required qualifications prior to the start date of employment.

Hourly range for Registered Nurses $43.46- $67.40 / hour

Salary & Nursing Framework Level:

This UMPNC RN posting is posted as Nursing Framework LEVEL C.

Actual Nursing Framework LEVEL and salary will be determined at time of hire.

Nursing Framework levels range from Level A to Level F.

Modes of Work

Work Schedule

Hours: 40 hours

Shift: Rotating position (Day/Evening or Day/Night)- 8 hour shift with weekend and holiday on-call/ shift obligations.

Location: Cardiovascular Center-Operating Room

Note: All new employees will be expected to float to a designated unit(s) in times of low census.

This position is covered under the collective bargaining agreement between the U-M and the Michigan Nurses Association and the U-M Professional Nurse Council union, which contains and settles all matters with respect to wages, benefits, hours and other terms and conditions of employment.
