Sentara CarePlex Hospital in Hampton, VA is hiring a Registered Nurse for the Medical/Surgical Cardiac Unit. New grads are welcome to apply; multiple shifts available, including Days & Nights with 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM schedules.

Weekly scheduled: 36. The role involves assessing/admitting patients, rounding checks, giving medications, talking with family members, and being responsible for the overall care of your patients.

Qualifications

• Virginia or Compact Multi-State License in good standing
• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days of hire
• RN-Associate’s Degree / RN-Bachelor’s Degree / RN-Diploma / RN-Master’s Degree as applicable

Responsibilities

• Assessing/admitting patients.

Unit Description

This is a 24-bed Medical/Surgical Stroke unit where we care for patients on telemetry monitoring. The patients are here to determine the next step needed in their care - which may be a cardiac cath, transfer to the heart hospital for surgery on their heart, or having a diagnostic test such as a stress test or echocardiogram.
