Job summary

AdventHealth in Littleton, Colorado, is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for a full-time night shift. You will assess patients across multiple domains, plan and adjust care, administer medications per physician orders, and educate patients and families on conditions and self-care. Collaboration with the care team is essential to optimize outcomes.

Requirements include an RN license, BLS certification, and ADN with a preference for a BSN. One year of acute care experience is desirable.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in nursing required.
• Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
• RN license required.
• BLS certification required.
• 1+ year acute care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients across physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural and spiritual domains.

• Administer medications and treatments safely per orders and protocols.
• Educate patients and families on health conditions, treatments and self-care.
• Collaborate with medical staff to coordinate patient care and ensure effective teamwork.

Job Description

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors of patients.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and standards of care, regularly evaluating and revising these plans as necessary.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely, following physician orders and hospital protocols, and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, medications, and self-care strategies to promote understanding and compliance.
• Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate and optimize patient care, ensuring effective communication and teamwork.

Education

• 1+ acute care hospital setting [Preferred]
