The Cardiac Progressive Care Unit is a 21-bed step-down unit specializing in the care of cardiology and thoracic patients following procedural or surgical interventions, as well as acute episodes related to their condition. The unit provides a higher level of monitoring and care, including management of multiple titratable drips and inotropes, chest tubes, pain pumps, BiPAP, and various other devices and medications.
Our team supports patients as they begin their rehabilitation journey while helping them manage their chronic conditions through comprehensive education and individualized care.
As a Registered Nurse at Henry Ford Health, you will provide leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality, compassionate patient care. You'll utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care, while effectively communicating with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
