Career Land Center in Sanford, Florida is hiring a full-time Registered Nurse for the Cardiac Neuro Telemetry (Med-Tele) unit of a 221-bed acute care hospital and Level II Trauma Center. The unit cares for cardiac, neurological, and medical patients recovering from procedures such as CABG and myocardial infarction.

You will assess and plan individualized care, administer medications, educate patients and families, and collaborate with the care team to promote recovery and positive outcomes.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of recent acute care Med-Surg/Telemetry RN experience.
• Nursing Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing; BSN preferred.
• Active Florida RN license or approved multistate compact RN license; licensure within 60 days if applicable.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care for cardiac, neuro, and medical telemetry patients.
• Monitor patient conditions and respond promptly to changes in clinical status.
• Administer medications and treatments per provider orders.
• Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, medications, and discharge planning.
• Monitor telemetry and recognize changes requiring intervention.
• Collaborate with physicians and the multidisciplinary care team to coordinate patient care.

Job description

A full-time Registered Nurse opportunity is available on the Cardiac Neuro Telemetry (Med-Tele) unit at a 221-bed acute care hospital and Level II Trauma Center in Sanford, Florida. This hospital is home to the only full-service cardiovascular program in Seminole and West Volusia counties, offering advanced services including open heart surgery, interventional cardiology, electrophysiology, cardiac rehabilitation, and comprehensive cardiac diagnostics.

This position is based on a 27-bed Medical/Telemetry unit that cares for a diverse patient population, including cardiac, neurological, and medical patients recovering from conditions such as CABG, myocardial infarction, and chest pain. The Registered Nurse is responsible for delivering comprehensive, patient-centered care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of individualized treatment plans. The role also includes administering medications and treatments, educating patients and families, and collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to promote recovery, wellness, and positive patient outcomes.
