• Maintain TN sponsorship readiness with licensure and VisaScreen when required.

Responsibilities

The Cardiovascular Device Nurse will provide thorough, competent interrogations and reprogramming of cardiac devices implanted in patients, including, but not limited to Pacemakers, Implantable Loop Recorders, and Implantable Cardiac Defibrillators. This will include device interrogations completed in the inpatient, procedural, and outpatient settings as well as remotely monitored patients. The Cardiovascular Device Nurse will complete initial interrogations, report generation, charges, and documentation in the Electronic Health Record and Device Management Systems as well as bring acute/urgent issues to the attention of providers.

This role is eligible for TN sponsorship. Successful sponsorship will require state licensure and completion of the VisaScreen or equivalent certification.

Qualifications

Graduate of a baccalaureate nursing program. One year RN experience preferred. Excellent communication skills (verbal & written). Experience working in a team environment. Ability to work flexible hours, which may include days, evenings, nights, holidays, and weekends and on-call. Ability to adapt to unpredictable situations w/in the work setting. Demonstrated leadership, effective communicator, excellent critical thinking skills.

License or certification: Current RN license by applicable state requirements. Maintains Basic Life Support (BLS) and ACLS competency from one of the following programs: American Heart Association or American Red Cross. Additional specialty certification/training as required by the work area.
