Job summary

AdventHealth in Shawnee Mission, KS is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our day shift team. Eligible clinicians may earn salary increases up to 20% through the Clinical Ladder Program based on experience and advancement criteria.

The role involves comprehensive patient assessments, developing care plans, administering medications, educating patients and families, and collaborating with medical staff to optimize care. RN licensure and BLS are required.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Nursing required.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
• RN license and BLS required.
• 1+ acute care hospital experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients across physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural and spiritual factors.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and standards of care.
• Administer medications and treatments per orders and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments and self-care.
• Collaborate with medical staff to coordinate care and ensure effective communication.

Clinical Ladder participation is voluntary. Salary adjustments are determined by program eligibility, advancement level, and organizational guidelines.

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors of patients.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and standards of care, regularly evaluating and revising these plans as necessary.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely, following physician orders and hospital protocols, and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, medications, and self-care strategies to promote understanding and compliance.
• Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate and optimize patient care, ensuring effective communication and teamwork.
