Karmanos Cancer Institute is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality patient care in Michigan. The RN is accountable for diagnosing and treating patient conditions through effective clinical judgment, collaborating with a healthcare team for optimal health outcomes.
This part-time position requires a Michigan nursing license and entails responsibilities like medication administration, care plan development, and supervising certified nursing assistants. The role emphasizes the organization’s values of patient safety, excellence, and teamwork.
The Registered Nurse (RN) works under the direction of the Team Leader and is accountable to the Director of Nursing. The RN uses clinical judgment skills to diagnose and treat patient responses to actual or potential health conditions. The RN assesses, monitors, detects, plans and takes appropriate action to prevent potential physiological complications and promotes optimal levels of health. The RN provides medication administration, treatments, and supervision of certified nursing assistants (CENAs) performing ADLs. The RN is accountable for integrating care within the scope of practice, licensure, relevant education and experience. The RN collaborates with Care Coordinators, Team Leaders and other team members to ensure communication and timely updates on resident’s changes in conditions.
