Job summary

Emend Health Company Connecticut, LLC (Emend CT) is seeking a Registered Nurse to lead nursing assessments, monitor medications, and guide non-medical team members about medical components of client treatment episodes.

The RN will oversee intake documentation, central storage of medications, and communications with Providers, while collaborating with therapists and leadership to ensure patient safety and high-quality, coordinated care.

Qualifications

• Complete comprehensive nursing assessments and oversee LPN data collection for clinical accuracy and patient stability.
• Identify, assess, and interpret changes in medical/psychiatric status; escalate when needed.
• Provide clinical oversight of patient care for SUD and co-occurring conditions.
• Administer medications per physician orders and ensure medication rights.
• Maintain documentation in EMR reflecting assessments and outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and program policies.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing assessments and oversee data collection to support patient stability.
• Lead responses to withdrawal, psychiatric symptoms, and medical concerns.
• Administer medications according to orders and the five rights.
• Document clinical decisions and patient outcomes in EMR (Sunwave).
• Coordinate with providers and multidisciplinary team for coordinated care.
• Support discharge planning and level-of-care discussions with Utilization Management.
• Mentor LPNs and behavioral health staff in clinical best practices.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality.
