Job summary

Incredible Health in Jackson, MI is seeking a Registered Nurse - Behavioral Health to provide compassionate care across day and night shifts. Opportunities include full-time, part-time, and per diem arrangements within a Magnet-recognized trauma center environment.

You will assess patients, administer psychotropic medications, and support families while collaborating on discharge planning and post-care support.

Qualifications

• BSN or higher from an accredited program.
• Active and unencumbered RN license.
• At least 1 year in behavioral health setting.
• Knowledge of psychotropic medications and administration protocols.
• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality per ANA.

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial patient assessments and develop care plans with a multidisciplinary team.
• Administer medications and monitor for efficacy and potential side effects.
• Provide emotional and psychological support using evidence-based therapeutic communication techniques.
• Facilitate group therapy sessions and educational workshops on topics related to mental health and well-being.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic and integrated approach to patient care, including discharge planning and aftercare support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or higher educational attainment from an accredited program
• Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse license
• 1+ years experience working in a behavioral health setting, preferably in an inpatient or outpatient environment
• Strong understanding of psychotropic medications, their side effects, and proper administration protocols
• Demonstrated ability to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards as outlined by the American Nurses Association (ANA)
