Job summary

Novant Health is seeking an Registered Nurse to join our Cancer Institute outpatient care team. You will provide high-quality nursing care, collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team, and educate patients and families about treatments and ongoing care needs.

Qualified candidates have a Bachelor's in Nursing and an active RN license; ACLS/PALS certifications are preferred. One year of relevant experience is favored.

Qualifications

• RN licensure is required (current and active).
• Bachelor's degree in nursing from an accredited program.
• ACLS, PALS, BAT and DOT certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Providing safe, high-quality nursing care in an outpatient setting.
• Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating individualized patient care plans.
• Collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated care.
• Educating patients and caregivers regarding treatments, medications, and ongoing care needs.
• Advocating for patients and supporting a compassionate care environment.

What You'll Do

• Providing safe, high-quality nursing care in an outpatient setting.
• Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating individualized patient care plans.
• Collaborating with physicians, advanced practice providers, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated care.
• Educating patients and caregivers regarding treatments, medications, and ongoing care needs.

What We're Looking For

Education: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required. If your RN nursing license has beeninactive, retired or lapsed for five years or more and you have not been licensed in another state during the last five years, successful completion of a Board approved refresher course is required prior to reactivating or reinstating your license. In order to be considered for current licensure status, you must apply for reinstatement within one year of completing the refresher course.

Experience: One year relevant experience, preferred.

Licensure/Certification/Registration: Current RN license in appropriate state Required. ACLS, PALS, BAT and DOT, preferred.
